Discuss Big Brother seasons (past and present) in this thread. As Big Brother: Over the Top is only broadcast on the live feeds, spoilers are allowed in this thread.
How do you guys like the new season of BB? I haven't watched much of it at all this year (and from what I've been hearing, that was a good choice on my part).

It is very interesting... but I think America has too much power and control. America has been responsible for both houseguests who left.

I think that's what they were going for. To give America pretty much all the power in the game. Not sure if was a good idea though.

Yeah... I don't love it. In my opinion, it would've been a better idea to give America just an eviction vote, or maybe have-nots also. The fact that so far two Plastics have gone home on two Plastic HoH's (well Cornbread wasn't really a plastic but was aligned with Monte and them) really just makes the game more of a popularity contest than a skill competition. Just the vote would be enough to make it feel like America has power without completely ruining the integrity of the game.

I also watch Over the Top. I agree with what most of you said above. It's no fun seeing America get so much control. I think America should have either had the nomination or the eviction vote, but not both. I liked Monte and it sucked to see him go. America's impact really has made the game not as fun if you ask me. It takes the power away from the players, and it has demonstrated both weeks that you can play the game but America will make all of your work irrelevant. Jason, Justin, Kryssie, Danielle, and Shane need to earn their power to change the game and America is instead handing them the power. It's like when America voted to give Jeff the Coup d'etat back in Big Brother 11. That changed the whole course of the season, and not in a good way.
Hopefully, America gives up some of its power as the season goes on. I don't think they should be allowed to nominate someone all the way to the end of Over the top.

In BBOTT, they really did give America to much power. America has been responsible for both evictions and more will probably follow. I think they should tone down America's power and let us do like the eviction vote and have-nots.

I wish that America could be nominated and evicted. The viewers have way too much power, I just want to watch the game be played and not have America involved with every single move.

If they do another season of Over the Top, I hope that the producers listen to the criticism and learn from it. First of all, they never should have brought back a veteran from the actual Big Brother. Jason has several fans coming into this game, while the other houseguests had no fan base. They had to have known America would rally around Jason, and they have. America eliminated Cornbread and Monte, both, because they targeted Jason. That was the main reason for both of their eliminations. If the house doesn't see that, and doesn't act on it soon, then Jason deserves to take the win.
Second, limit America's power. I am fine with America having an eviction vote, or America being able to nominate a third person, but not both. I will be shocked if America ever changes its mind on who they are voting out if they cast their eviction vote for someone other than who America nominated. So, hopefully the game changes next season.

Brett and I suspect the BB producers read this board and steal our ideas. We've seen a number of challenges and twists we and other hosts have done over the years make their way into the real show. So I think they see our criticism.
I dont understand why Jason is so likeable anyway. He is very obnoxious.

So what does everyone think of the new HOH?

UGH. I really don't like the new HoH at all (not gonna name names in case some people don't know yet). Really scared to see them in power honestly. My favorites are all on the other side of the house so I'm just hoping the target isn't one of them specifically. HoH will be borderline Monte levels of cocky with their power I bet, and that's gonna be awful (although it could be funny if it's extreme enough, especially if whoever the target is stays)

I'll third that. But, who will America's Nominee be? After last week, I think it could be more of a surprise. It depends on who is nominated.

From what I've seen online, most Misfit fans are pushing for either Alex or Shelby to go up and Ball Smashers fans are voting Jason or Neeley. My guess is Neeley seeing as Dani went up last week so the numbers appear to be in the BSers favor right now and Jason has a fan base but honestly I wouldn't be shocked to see almost anyone go up.
