Heya friends. So, I know I’m out of the game and not a part of the events currently happening in the house. But watching things go down is honestly awful to watch, and I just wanna throw my two cents into it. Idk if you guys will see this later or at all but it’s something I gotta get off my chest right now. So, I just wanna say this.
I’ve played in a few ORG’s the past few years, and I’ve noticed a trend. The further you make it, the greater likelihood that things can get emotional and personal. You reach a pivotal point in the game where you might have to backstab friends in order to make it further into the game. It’s just the way things get sometimes, and I understand that. I’ve been there, sobbing at my workplace’s dairy cooler when I had to try and vote out someone I genuinely liked as a person at F4, then again two days later when my opponents relentlessly trashed my game in final tribal. If you spend enough time in the ORG community, things can get messy and personal at times. It’s the nature of these games.
ORG’s have the potential to create new friendships, though it also can destroy them depending on how far something is taken. Every word and action has an effect on us. The longer you’re around in the community, the longer you’re involved in a game, the greater effect it will have on us. We can always say to remember that it’s just a game, but I know how things get sometimes. We get invested, and it no longer becomes just that.
Please remember: We’re only human. We all make mistakes. We all have emotions.
Derek and Jake, I know you two have a history. I won’t pretend that I know everything that’s happened to you two, and everything you’ve gone through. That’s not my business. But I truly, genuinely hope that the two of you will not be off worse for playing in BB10. Regardless of the words said, I think both of you are incredible people who deserve the best in life. Please, don’t let this game become more than it should be. I know I’m just a newbie who doesn’t really know anything about the ongoing game right now, but I’ve seen things like this happen before in other games. I’d hate to see it happen to the both of you too.
And the same goes for everyone else remaining in the house. I don’t know the extent of everything else going on in the house. I know that I’m an early evictee but I’ve put behind the few nasty words that have been said to me in the game. I hope that the rest of you can do the same.
This is mostly me just rambling at this point but I don’t know, I just get upset when I see stuff like this because, well, I’m quite the emotional person too. I just saw what was happening, and, well, I just don’t know what else to say.
I really love all of you, and I hope that tonight was the extent of the hurtful words exchanged between all of you. I wanna keep observing and have a smile on my face (or even a disappointed one when my alliance keeps getting voted out lmao) when I visit you guys. And I hope the jury feels the same too.
So, with that, I do wanna congratulate all of you for making it so far. I think all of you are great people, and I hope everything can be smoothed over soon.
