HOH #8: The Auction From Hell
Hello, HouseGuests, and welcome to your eighth Head of Household competition. I am Dante, an Italian poet who wrote The Divine Comedy. This week, I will be taking over the house with some Inferno-themed competitions. First of all, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news? Everybody here has received 50 extra Chens, compliments of me. The bad news? The Chen store has been closed, effective immediately. However, you will have one more chance to use those Chens as we will be holding an auction for 9 items, each one based on one of my circles of Hell. Each round of the auction will last 5 minutes, so 5 minutes after I start the round, the highest bidder will win the item for that round. You will be told what you've won as soon as you win, but you are under no obligation to share what you've received. I will reveal the HOH winner as soon as all 9 items are purchased. The item you win could either be a prize or a punishment. There are 3 prizes and 3 punishments available. Additionally, two of the items have nothing hidden behind them. The ninth item available is the Head of Household (it is hidden as one of the nine items, you just have to get lucky with which item you pick).
NOTE: If nobody bids on an item, the item will go unpurchased and nobody will win it. If the HOH was one of the unpurchased items, an HOH duel question (trivia, fastest finger, etc.) will be posted on the board at 8pm. Also, each HouseGuest can only win 2 items. Therefore, if you have won 2 items, you are not allowed to bid on any future items.
Christian, as outgoing Head of Household, you are eligible to compete in this competition if you so choose. However, if you happen to win HOH, the person who was the second-highest bidder on that item will become the new Head of Household. You are still eligible to win any of the 8 other items.
